Minimum qualifications to become an Instructor include either a Bachelor’s degree in some area of environmental education, natural resources interpretation, wildlife science, or related field or comparable, demonstrated natural history teaching experience.

I understand that applying to become an FMNP Instructor is a competitive process. I further understand that my application will be determined according to 1) my qualifications, 2) the appropriateness and sufficiency of my host organization/agency, 3) the availability of Instructor spots in my area, and 4) the mission and educational delivery needs of the FMNP.

I further understand that my application will be peer-reviewed by appropriate FMNP staff, including FMNP Instructors. By submitting this application, I consent to all of the foregoing terms and procedures.

Note: Certification status is specific to the organization under which you have applied. To become an FMNP Instructor under a new organization or in a new area of the state requires submission of a new Instructor application.

Note: Completion of any FMNP classes, while helpful, is not required to become an FMNP Instructor. Likewise, completion of FMNP classes does not qualify an applicant without appropriate teaching experience and/or education as described above.
