Overview:
The Environmental Education Resource Guide to Southwest Florida provides
an extensive listing of environmental education organizations and educational materials.
As such, the Environmental Education Resource Guide to Southwest Florida is intended to
facilitate communication between environmental organizations, educators, and other persons
interested in environmental education. The resource guide can benefit educators and
organizations planning field trips or environmental education workshops and is a useful
tool for environmental professionals who want to participate in or collaborate on
environmental education programs. Community and school leaders and other groups also can
benefit from using this resource guide when planning extracurricular activities for adults
or children.
Counties listed in this guide include Charlotte, Collier, Hendry, Glades,
and Lee. Please see the availability of other resource guides for Florida under the
additional resource section. Every effort was made to contact organizations that provide
to their members or the public environmental education. The information gathered includes

product of the Florida Master Naturalist Program, an environmental education training
program provided through the University of Florida Cooperative Extension Service. More
