Are you looking for a way to apply your knowledge and expertise while helping your community and working to preserve our county’s natural resources? Then please contact Sarasota County Natural Resources about Volunteer Opportunities! Sarasota County Natural Resources manages over 50,000 acres of environmentally sensitive land located throughout the county. Each preserve has unique characteristics and offers significant opportunities for volunteers. Your involvement would be particularly valuable given your training as part of the Master Naturalist program.

Volunteer opportunities are available to suit a variety of interests and time schedules, including:

• Guided Nature Walks
• Trail Maintenance
• Wildlife Monitoring
• Exotic Plant Identification and Treatment
• Public Education at Special Events

If you would be interested in volunteering in Sarasota County’s environmentally sensitive lands or if you have any questions, please contact the Sarasota County Call Center, at 941-861-5000, and ask for Natural Resources, Debby Zeilman or e-mail Debby at dzeilman@scgov.net.
