Reproduction- 6 eggs, loose nests in marsh

Habitat- freshwater marshes, wet prairies,
agricultural
Diet- frogs, spiders, invertebrates,
vegetation
Call- squawking, cackling, guttural grunts
Fun facts-long toes allow walking on
floating plants
