Identifiers- saucer-shaped dome, short fringe tentacles
- white 4-leaf clover reproductive organs
Adaptations- 4 frilly oral arms,8 interior feeding canals
Status
- common in Florida
Distribution- Florida, Bahamas, Caribbean, Worldwide
Habitat- shallow marine surface waters
Fun facts
- mildly toxic to humans
- bell-shape pulsates to swim horizontally
- plankton collects on the mucus surface and is passed along to the margin tentacles
