Reproduction- 4-7 eggs laid in floating nests
Distribution- North to South America, abundant Gulf coast states
Habitat- ponds, marshes, salt water migration
Diet- fish, crustaceans, leeches, insects, vegetation

Fun facts - only grebe with 'chicken-like' bill
