Height- to 3 feet
Identifiers- cluster fern, strap-like undivided leaves
Adaptations
- can grow on dead or decaying debris
Status
- state listed as Endangered
Distribution- Florida, Virgin Islands
Habitat- wet hammocks, swamps
Reproduction- sori arranged in rows on underside of leaf
Fun facts
- a member of the family Polypodaceae
- first appeared in the Jurassic period
- this family contains about 60% of today's fern species
