Tail Description- triangular, white underside
Other Characteristics- large eyes/ears, male; antlers
Status- throughout Florida
Reproduction- 1-2 fawn, shallow bed
Distribution- most U.S.A., rare in southwest
Habitat- wetland edges, wooded areas, agricultural
Diet- herbivore; plant shoots, fruits, berries, nuts
Call- bleating or mewing
Sign- browsed vegetation, antler rubs, buck scrapes,
beds, pellet-like scat, narrow-toed hoof prints
